I think she want to kill me, yes?

Dahlia got wet today. Really wet. It was snowing really good this afternoon and it was soaking wet snow that got into her fur and then melted all over her. She was cold and unhappy on our walk. When we got back I used the microfiber towel to dry her off. And then couldn't resist taking a few pictures.

Reminds me of my old dog Bouncer, a golden lab cross. Sometimes when I took him out for a walk, he'd take one look at the weather and insist we go back inside again. I had to pull him down the path, and he'd be looking miserable and put upon. And then the wet doggy smell when he got back and he had to be dried down. Some people don't like that smell, but I always did.

Dahlia bounds out into almost any weather, but once out there she realizes it sucks and becomes increasingly unhappy. She really doesn't like heavy rain or anything that gets into her eyes. On the flip side, the driving snow of the recent blizzard? She loved it. Go figure.

You post about your dog the way many people might post about their children. I love it! :D

LOL yes I do! I love my Dahlia. At least I don't post pictures of her covered in food or talk about her bowel movements.

Dahlia usually LOVES the outdoors, especially if it's snowing. But today the poor girl was just miserable. I felt so bad for her.

Kowalski tries to climb my leg when its raining, which is a LOT here, I think he's getting better I don't have to fight him every step of the way, just the first thousand or so...LOL. BUt Dehlia looks purely miserable.

She's usually not miserable in snowy weather. I think it was how wet the snow was. And because it was snow, it got further into her coat than usual and she was wet down to the skin and so cold.

Sounds like Dahlia is fine until the water gets past her fur. Can't blame her!

Oh, YES. That's the "Damn you, you're taking my picture again" look. Hee! Hee!

She does GREAT in all sorts of crappy weather (and in fact LOVES the snow). But combine cold + wet to the skin and you have a very happy dog.

She's ok when she's warm and wet to the skin (she's been deep into water for an hour or more and was completely soaked and she was just fine with that).
