Another weekend over...

*sigh* And it's back to work with me tomorrow! We had an awesome session at Kitty's yesterday. Everyone was out for it, including Geordy and a great fiddler who has never come before. He hopes to make it more often (yay).

David went to a rock concert last night with Jonathan (some group called Ra Ra Riot) and I stayed home with Dahlia. She and I spent a nice evening on the couch, watching Plague Dogs and reading. Good movie. I liked the book (especially the ending) better!

Today I had a nice lunch with my Mom (her birthday was on Friday). We went to Tully's and got their famous chicken tenders. It's something we used to always do when I came home for Christmas break. We'd go shopping in the morning and then hit Tully's for lunch in the afternoon. Today was also Brandon's birthday (one of the other folks in the commune) and we had Mexican take-out and a Strawberry short cake (well, really Strawberry angel food cake, if you want to be accurate). Mmmm...good eatin' this weekend!

I'll leave you with a few adorable picture. This all happened when I asked her if she wanted ot go for a walk.

Dahlia lounging on the couch. She likes to curl up in blankets.

Awww, Faith really has a thing for blankets too. She likes to lay on Sean's blankets, it's pretty funny.

I'm thinking that's a dog thing. My parent's dogs have LOVED blankets. Pepper loved one particular blanket so much so that we buried her with it.

I always thought it was due to how we raised them when they were puppies. We always had towels laying around, in case of accidents or to clean wet/muddy feet, and they really just sort of cuddled around them all the time. Faith in particular. I don't recall the male dachshund our family had growing up ever doing that. Female dog instinct maybe? *shrug*

Hmm...could be! I have no idea how Dahlia was raised so maybe she was raised that way too. We've always had female dogs and they've always liked blankets.

Hmmm...it's an interesting thought!

Yes! There's a movie version of it. It's pretty decent, but I didn't like the way they ended it (it ends differently than the book -- much more ambiguous).

Plague Dogs movie
